2. Elevate Intentions

The Heroic Minute

What’s typically your first thought of the day? Here’s a challenge to the whole AP family: The Heroic Minute.

Dedicate your first minute of every day to an intention greater than self. Claim it. Claim it for your spouse. Claim it for your kids. Claim it for Christ. Claim it for your life. The intention is yours. Don’t let the first minute slip by. Dedicate it from the start.

1 minute. 23 hours and 59 minutes of impact. Daily. We’re all in it together.

It’s not easy, but the reward is incredible. How to do it? Set your alarm for the time you want to get up.

The heroic minute: a fixed time for getting up. Without hesitation: a supernatural thought…and…up!

A thought greater than self. An Intention – a reason – a purpose greater than self, and you get out of bed like you mean it. You offer that first minute of the day to that intention because your life is pure gift, and you’re going to turn this very day into your masterpiece.

1 minute. 60 seconds. It all starts there. Remind yourself: This is my Heroic Minute. This is my chance to set my entire day on a course of inspiration. If I can win this first little “battle” of the day, it sets the tone and course of my entire day. And I’m going to win it.

You’re going to use that first minute of the day to give thanks for having woken up in the first place. For being healthy. For being alive. For having an entire day in front of you to live, love, and be loved.

It’s not easy. That’s why it’s called the Heroic Minute. In the day and age we live in, it takes a heroic effort. It starts with little things.

This is our challenge: turn your first minute tomorrow into an #activprayer by making it The Heroic Minute. If this becomes a ritual in your life, it’s the first step toward not only transforming more actions into inspired actions…but transforming your days, and eventually your entire life, into an inspired one.

Win the first battle.

Commit to these 60 seconds tomorrow morning. Share the impact. This may be the most important #activprayer of the month. And if you didn’t already have a good reason to dedicate these 60 seconds, then do it for Prayers for Gray – he’s still fighting, team. Let’s fight with him.
